TL;DR

Legal Counsel (AI & GDPR): Navigating GDPR and AI regulations to provide practical guidance for an international software company with an accent on regulatory compliance and data protection. Focus on translating complex laws into business-actionable frameworks and managing data processing agreements.

Location: Aarhus, Denmark. Must have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years and present a clean criminal record for security clearance.

What you will do

  • Provide first-line regulatory advice on GDPR and AI regulation regarding contracts, security, and internal policies.
  • Review and negotiate data processing agreements with customers and suppliers.
  • Administer the GDPR compliance program, including risk assessments, DPIAs, TIAs, and LIAs.
  • Manage incident response processes for personal data breaches and follow-up activities.
  • Deliver compliance training and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement of existing compliance processes in collaboration with the team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in law (cand.jur. or equivalent).
  • Minimum four years' experience with GDPR in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles.
  • Fluency in Danish and English (written and spoken).
  • Security clearance eligibility: Clean criminal record and residency in a NATO/EU country for the last 7 years.
  • Strong proficiency in GDPR mapping, documentation, and compliance processes.

Nice to have

  • Data protection certification such as CIPP/E or CIPM.
  • Experience with GRC software.
  • Keen interest in AI tools and regulation.
