What you will do
- Ensure full compliance with the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act (KOSHA) and global corporate EHS standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations with corrective action tracking.
- Manage mandatory EHS training programs and foster a proactive safety culture across the site.
- Oversee safety activities for contractors and manage high-risk work permits.
- Act as the primary liaison with government authorities during official audits and inspections.
- Manage environmental compliance, focusing on hazardous materials and waste disposal processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Eligible to be appointed as a Safety Manager under the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in EHS or safety-related roles.
- Fluent in both Korean and English.
- Strong working knowledge of Korean EHS regulations.
Nice to have
- Certified Industrial Safety Consultant or Industrial Safety Engineer certifications.
- Experience implementing or managing ISO 45001 standards.
- Valid firefighting and first aid certifications.
- Previous experience working within a multinational corporate environment.
