TL;DR

Cyber Analyst (Cybersecurity): Conducting cyber risk assessments and NIST security control validation to support system Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts with an accent on DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF). Focus on ensuring authorization readiness, auditing security implementations, and reviewing vendor artifacts in classified environments.

Location: San Diego, CA. Must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain an active Secret security clearance.

Salary: $85,731 – $97,336 USD per year

What you will do

  • Support system Assessment and Authorization (A&A) by conducting risk assessments and NIST security control validation.
  • Apply expertise in DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), and compliance management.
  • Provide technical recommendations to engineers and decision-makers to strengthen the overall security posture.
  • Review hardware and software vendor artifacts to ensure secure system implementation and adherence to security practices.
  • Create RMF artifacts and conduct security audits within both unclassified and classified environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity projects or programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of RMF and A&A activities required to obtain and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Deep understanding of NIST SP 800-60, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
  • Active Secret clearance and US Citizenship are mandatory.
