Salary: 40,750 - 46,333 PLN gross per month

What you will do

• Optimize retrieval systems to reduce latency and cost, making AI features faster and more efficient.
• Improve the quality and relevance of search results to enhance user experience.
• Expand retrieval capabilities to query new hirify.global objects and third-party data sources.
• Build and optimize search infrastructure using OpenSearch and ElasticSearch.
• Develop ML-powered features, including embeddings-based retrieval and semantic search.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in New York City and peers in Warsaw.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience writing code in a production environment.
• Hands-on expertise in search engineering, specifically with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch.
• Experience with embeddings and machine learning approaches to search and retrieval.
• Curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to leverage emerging technologies.
• Must be based in Poland and eligible for a Contract of Employment (UoP).

Nice to have

• Experience in an Applied AI role.
