Cost Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Bremen, Germany; hybrid work and mobile work abroad are offered.

What you will do

• Manage and support cost engineering activities from feasibility studies and implementation proposals through subsystem and end-to-end system assessments.
• Provide costing expertise to project teams by collecting and validating cost inputs from internal departments, external partners, and suppliers.
• Coordinate cost analyses to meet customer and internal quality and schedule requirements.
• Support cost optimization while accounting for technical, programmatic, financial, and georeturn constraints.
• Review and align analyses with management, business development, project teams, departments, procurement, and controlling.
• Help define cost engineering processes, tools, templates, and in-house training.

Requirements

• Completed Diploma or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or an equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, VBA, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, and PowerBI.
• Very good written and spoken English required.
• Professional experience in the space sector.
• Experience with SQL, cost engineering, commercial space, systems engineering, or project management is advantageous.
• German communication skills and security clearance are additional assets.
