Sr. Data Scientist, Product Insights (Ecommerce): Leveraging data to identify user journey opportunities and measure the impact of product features with an accent on product analytics, experimentation, and GenAI evaluation. Focus on designing A/B tests, uncovering behavioral trends, and creating scalable data-driven recommendations to shape product strategy.

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal (minimum two days per week in the office)

What you will do

• Own analytics for a broad product area, proactively identifying growth opportunities through deep understanding of user behavior.
• Translate complex data into clear recommendations and success measures to guide business strategy.
• Implement advanced product analytics using regression analysis, causal inference, and A/B testing.
• Define and track evaluation metrics for GenAI-powered features, including offline benchmarks and online performance measurement.
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and collaborate with product teams to shape platform solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science or analytics, ideally within an online company.
• High proficiency in SQL and experience coding in Python or R to transform data into insights.
• Advanced statistical expertise in causal inference, time series modeling, and hypothesis testing.
• Experience with tracking tools like Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
• Proven track record of designing and evaluating robust A/B tests.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Lisbon, Portugal office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt or Dataform.
• Proficiency with BI tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience mentoring other data scientists and fostering a data-driven culture.
