What you will do

• Lead the development and maintenance of the character rigging pipeline, ensuring high technical and artistic standards.
• Oversee rigging, deformation systems, and simulations for characters, creatures, and weapons.
• Mentor and support riggers and Character Technical Artists to foster professional growth.
• Design and develop automation tools and pipeline enhancements using Python.
• Implement procedural animation and Control Rig systems within Unreal Engine.
• Balance visual fidelity with performance optimization across multiple target platforms.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the video game industry with at least two shipped titles.
• Proven experience as a Rigger or Technical Artist on at least one released Unreal Engine project.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing or guiding rigging and character technical art teams.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Maya (mGear experience is a plus).
• Advanced scripting skills using Python for tool development and automation.
• Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine animation systems, including Control Rig, Physics, Cloth, and Anim Dynamics.
