Salary: $45,202 – $95,655 CAD annually

What you will do

• Build multiplayer features and develop core backend systems for large-scale distributed services.
• Maintain and evolve platform architecture to ensure services are scalable and reliable for global players.
• Design and support scalable data platforms and frameworks for real-time analytics and high-volume data processing.
• Develop APIs and microservices to enable efficient data integration and processing.
• Collaborate in design discussions and perform root cause analysis to improve system performance.
• Automate workflows and build tools to enhance developer experience and system reliability.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate program with expected graduation between January 2027 and May 2028.
• Available for an 8-month, in-person co-op starting September 2026.
• Strong knowledge of Python, C++, and/or Java, with a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Familiarity with Linux and source control (Git preferred).
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP, UDP, HTTP).
• Resume and transcript are required for application.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL-based databases (MySQL preferred).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD concepts for automated deployment.
• Exposure to distributed systems, big-data processing (Kafka, Spark, Flink), or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience building RESTful services or web applications.
• Passion for computer science shown through personal projects or open-source contributions.
