Associate Director, Genesis, Investor Trading Operations: Oversight and support of Investor Trading Operations teams’ daily operations and local/global initiatives with an accent on building the Halifax team, leading process and technology change (including AI initiatives), and ensuring high-quality investor/client service. Focus on managing investor registration/dealing/reporting/query workflows, driving client-centric procedures, and delivering department initiatives while leading direct reports and collaborating cross-functionally.

What you will do

  • Oversee daily operations and support local build-out of the Investor Trade Ops team in Halifax, including deployment, training, and migration of work for a global follow-the-sun model.
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives and change requests, including process improvements and technology initiatives (including AI-led initiatives and digital subscription forms).
  • Support senior leadership with department initiatives, projects, and budget adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with company and department policies for investor registration, dealing, reporting, query management, and related Investor Trade Ops tasks.
  • Own and establish fund/client-specific Investor Trade Operations procedures with a client-centric approach.
  • Manage direct reports through 1:1s, performance discussions, coaching, and annual performance reviews; collaborate with cross-functional teams for service delivery, incident management, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of operations experience in financial services/fund administration/asset management/banking/client service, including 2–4 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of investor operations and investor/client service management.
  • Strong people leadership and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex issues; ability to provide guidance, assistance, and training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with clients, investors, and colleagues.
  • Business logic and risk-adverse approach to resource management and operations.
