TL;DR

DevOps & Database Engineer (Azure/SQL): Managing Azure cloud infrastructure and optimizing SQL Server performance for a global financial data platform with an accent on CI/CD pipelines and database scalability. Focus on implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), query optimization, and ensuring high availability of financial data systems.

Location: Hybrid in Manila, Philippines (2-3 days onsite per week)

What you will do

  • Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for efficient and reliable deployments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting in SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
  • Design indexing, partitioning, and data distribution strategies for large-scale financial datasets.
  • Monitor system health using tools like App Insights and resolve production issues across infrastructure and applications.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, and SQL Server/Azure SQL.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools (Bicep, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
  • Solid expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
  • Experience supporting production systems with monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting for automation using PowerShell, Python, or equivalent.
  • Must be based in Manila, Philippines and available for onsite work 2-3 times a week.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of .NET (C#) and application deployment.
