What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of AI use cases from discovery through production deployment and iteration.
• Build AI-powered applications and integrate them into existing business systems, workflows, and tools.
• Implement structured and hybrid AI approaches for mission-critical use cases requiring high accuracy and auditability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in customer service, compliance, operations, and finance to translate business needs into technical implementations.
• Review and validate AI-generated code against production-quality standards and software engineering best practices.
• Contribute to documentation, engineering standards, and reusable solution patterns.

Requirements

• Professional software engineering experience building user-facing applications.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI tool-calling, and agent frameworks (e.g., MCP).
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and conduct product demos.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development workflows using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
• Demonstrated ability to ship end-to-end software from requirements to deployment.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Msida, Malta.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Familiarity with React and Next.js to review and guide AI-generated UI code.
• Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, or hybrid AI patterns.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and containerized deployment workflows.
• Experience in the gaming, hospitality, or regulated industry sectors.
