Technical Artist (Unreal Engine)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Prague

hirify.global is a Prague-based studio developing high-end virtual reality experiences, with Magic Madness VR as its flagship PvP title.

What you will do

• Profile and optimize game performance on both CPU and GPU using Unreal Insights and RenderDoc.
• Port the existing PC VR project to standalone VR hardware like Quest.
• Develop and tune shaders and VFX using Niagara and the Material Editor.
• Collaborate with environment artists and level designers to balance visual fidelity with performance requirements.
• Define and maintain performance budgets, guidelines, and best practices for the team.

Requirements

• Must be available to work on-site in Prague
• Strong experience in Technical Art within Unreal Engine.
• Proven skills in CPU/GPU profiling and optimization.
• Experience with shaders, VFX, and mobile/standalone VR pipelines.
• Proficiency in 3D software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
• Solid understanding of computer graphics principles and environment content creation.

Nice to have

• Experience with standalone VR hardware (Quest, Pico).
• Knowledge of Python or C++.
• Experience in tools and pipeline development for Unreal Engine.
