TL;DR

Technical Account Manager (Ad Tech): Manage high-stakes technical relationships with C-level publisher partners, oversee end-to-end onboarding and integrations, and ensure SLA-driven service excellence with an accent on API/HTTP troubleshooting, data-driven escalation handling, and translating publisher feedback into actionable product roadmap inputs. Focus on leading and scaling a team of Technical Account Managers while standardizing partner onboarding and troubleshooting playbooks.

What you will do

  • Own executive relationship management with CTOs, architects, and engineering leads at strategic publisher partners.
  • Ensure service excellence by maintaining rigorous SLAs and driving high satisfaction across a global publisher base.
  • Lead end-to-end technical onboardings and integrations, aligning publisher tech stacks with proprietary systems.
  • Act as the final escalation point for critical technical bugs, delivery discrepancies, and high-priority system failures.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to convert publisher feedback and technical pain points into roadmap-ready actions.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale Technical Account Managers (TAMs) and create standardized playbooks for onboarding and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Ad Tech, MarTech, or SaaS, including at least 5 years in a people-management or formal leadership capacity.
  • Fluent English with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with SQL for database querying and advanced analytics using Excel and similar tools.
  • Technical literacy in HTML and JavaScript (or a similar scripting language), plus understanding of web architecture and system communication.
  • Working knowledge of HTTP REST endpoints and ability to diagnose failures in API-driven environments.

Nice to have

  • German fluency for collaboration across the Hamburg HQ and the wider DACH region.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, or Swift, or building and deploying your own applications.
  • Deep knowledge of the mobile ad tech landscape, including SDK integrations and current best practices.
