What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, licenses, tender documents, and customer-supplier agreements.
- Advise on contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Support Sales and Operations with contract terms, dealer arrangements, and customer negotiations.
- Manage external legal advisors and coordinate insurance renewals with brokers.
- Improve legal templates, workflows, and systems, including the implementation of AI-assisted review.
- Develop policies, procedures, and training to help the business manage legal obligations.
Requirements
- Australian legal qualification and strong commercial legal experience in private practice and in-house environments.
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex B2B commercial contracts, intellectual property, and design obligations.
- Strong understanding of domestic and international commercial legal frameworks.
- Experience advising on compliance, contractual risk, disputes, and investigations.
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights and residency in Australia.
- Exposure to mining, energy, heavy manufacturing, or industrial services is highly regarded.
