Security Engineer II

Salary: Kč772,500.00–Kč1,081,500.00 (total cash range); potential increase up to Kč1,236,000.00

What you will do

• Monitor and investigate security event alerts across identity, cloud, EDR, network, UEBA, API, WAF, and other reported events.
• Perform advanced-level security investigations across application, cloud, data, network, and perimeter security.
• Conduct root-cause analysis, recommend containment and remediation actions, and communicate findings to multiple organizational levels.
• Analyze security events, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations; partner with engineering teams to remediate and reduce risk.
• Escalate security issues immediately, ensuring adherence to SLAs and driving resolution/mitigation.
• Work shifts to support a 24x7 follow-the-sun model aligned with US and APAC operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience in security engineering, security operations, or related software/infrastructure engineering with hands-on security tooling and controls.
• Experience owning and operating security capabilities end-to-end (monitoring, triage, incident response) in a production environment.
• Strong security fundamentals: authentication/authorization, encryption, network security, vulnerability management, and secure cloud/on-prem configuration.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems/tools/workflows and applying AI/ML concepts securely in real products.

Nice to have

• Experience in a security operations center (SOC) or CSIRT function.
• EDR solutions and forensics experience.
• Cloud security experience.
• Cybersecurity certifications.
