Japanese Language Data Contributor (Multimodal) – Freelance AI Trainer Project (AI)

Location: Worldwide, remote

Salary: $6–$65 per hour, with the final rate based on experience, expertise, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Challenge advanced language models with Japanese grammar, syntax, morphology, kanji, kana, phonology, pragmatics, honorifics, speech registers, dialects, and kanji readings.
• Converse with models using language-focused scenarios and verify factual accuracy and logical soundness.
• Document reproducible model failure modes and linguistic error traces.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Provide audio, video, image, and written inputs, including recordings of your voice and likeness, for AI data collection and evaluation.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of the Japanese language and its writing systems.
• Strong understanding of Japanese grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, pragmatics, honorifics, and regional variation.
• Clear metacognitive communication and the ability to explain reasoning and analysis.
• Must be at least 18 years old and agree to the applicable participant and consent agreements.
• Submit content featuring only yourself and avoid third-party or sensitive personal information.
• Provide a secure computer and high-speed internet connection.

Nice to have

• Degree in Japanese language, linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or practical linguistic analysis projects.
