TL;DR

Software Engineering Team Lead (.NET/Fintech): Spearheading the delivery of loan origination architecture, compliance systems, and pricing platforms for financial inclusion in Africa with an accent on event-driven microservices and scalable infrastructure. Focus on architecting systems processing 2 million daily payments, leading backend engineers in a DevOps culture, and partnering with Product to drive the roadmap.

Location: Fully remote in UK and parts of Europe within UTC -1 to UTC +3 time zones

What you will do

  • Lead a team of backend engineers through both greenfield and legacy projects, owning the full software lifecycle.
  • Set architectural direction for loan origination, compliance systems, and a new pricing engine.
  • Partner with Product Managers on roadmap planning and prioritization.
  • Serve as a servant leader, coaching and growing the engineering team.
  • Implement and maintain a true DevOps culture using infrastructure as code and continuous delivery.
  • Ensure system observability and quality through automated testing in all environments.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on background in C#/.NET backend development.
  • Proven experience with Azure (AWS or GCP experience also welcomed).
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices, specifically with Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to set technical direction and provide architectural guidance.
  • Must be based in the UK or Europe within UTC -1 to UTC +3 time zones.
