Senior Elastic Engineer (Elasticsearch)

TL;DR

Senior Elastic Engineer (Elasticsearch): Design, implementation, and operation of complex Elastic clusters for enterprise environments with an accent on highly available architectures and performance tuning. Focus on building ingest pipelines, index strategies, and integrating security features within Kubernetes environments.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate complex Elastic clusters including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash, and ECK.
• Build and develop scalable, highly available architectures across on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Develop ingest pipelines, index strategies, and dashboards for Observability and Security.
• Perform performance tuning, monitoring, capacity management, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
• Implement security and compliance requirements such as RBAC, TLS, and SIEM/SOC features.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Several years of experience with Elastic Stacks in enterprise environments.
• Valid Elastic certification (e.g., Elastic Certified Engineer, Analyst, Observability, or Security Engineer).
• Deep understanding of Elasticsearch internals, cluster architecture, sharding, and query performance.
• Experience with Kubernetes deployments, specifically Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK).
• Excellent knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, or SUSE).
• Strong proficiency in automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, GitLab, and Helm.
• German: Upper Intermediate (B2) required.
• English: Intermediate (B1) required.

Nice to have

• Additional certifications in automation, Kubernetes, or IT security.
• Experience with multi-tenant or service provider architectures.
• Knowledge of enterprise data platforms.
