Lead Data Engineer (AI Search)

Location: Paris, France; at least 3 days per week at the client office in Paris

What you will do

• Define detailed technical designs, components, interfaces, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Lead development teams, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers.
• Coordinate architecture, cloud, platform, data, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Guide GCP and AI Search implementation patterns for scalable, reliable, production-ready solutions.
• Lead technical discovery, estimation, and solution design workshops while identifying and mitigating risks.
• Contribute hands-on to complex technical areas and support the industrialization of AI and search use cases.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform, AI ecosystems, AI Search, conversational AI, and generative AI integrations.
• Experience with application architecture, API design, enterprise integration, cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, software quality, observability, cloud security, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Backend development experience with Java and/or Python, plus technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Advanced French and English are required.
