Location: Hybrid role based in the local hirify.global office in Johannesburg, South Africa

What you will do

  • Test product features of small to medium complexity and document defects with detailed reproduction steps.
  • Write and maintain automated UI and integration tests aligned with coding guidelines and engineering principles.
  • Apply the testing pyramid to identify candidates for E2E, Integration, Component, and Unit tests.
  • Contribute to team ceremonies, including daily scrums, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Proactively implement small to medium updates to existing test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to achieve delivery goals.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of professional working experience.
  • Background in manual testing with a current transition into automation testing.
  • Ability to independently create and troubleshoot UI/API automated tests.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and test automation patterns.
  • Capacity to accurately estimate testing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Johannesburg office (Hybrid).
