What you will do

• Define the architecture and technical strategy for tax calculation and reporting logic.
• Lead the integration of third-party tax providers and manage technical partnerships.
• Drive system resilience, uptime, and scalability across services.
• Make high-impact architectural decisions and establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Mentor and grow the engineering team, helping shape hiring as the team scales.
• Champion a strong testing culture including unit, integration, functional, and e2e tests.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience.
• 1.5+ years of commercial Go development.
• Proven experience designing and owning high-load, distributed systems.
• Strong, hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Solid experience with queues or streams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical direction.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka and AWS services.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Fintech, payments, or financial domain experience.
• Understanding of VAT, GST, and Sales Tax.
• Experience managing or leading teams.
