What you will do

  • Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using streaming and batch processing patterns.
  • Develop and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query tuning.
  • Build and operate Apache Kafka pipelines for real-time event processing and message-driven architectures.
  • Integrate internal and external APIs for automated data collection and synchronization.
  • Implement ETL/ELT workflows using modern orchestration tools and best practices.
  • Collaborate with data science and backend teams to deliver clean, structured datasets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps-style workflows.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
  • Familiarity with serialization formats like Avro, Protobuf, or Parquet.
  • Background in distributed systems and high-throughput data processing.
