What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain critical distributed systems for alert ingestion and delivery.
  • Scale alert evaluation systems to handle high production loads (over 500 evaluations per second).
  • Own the full software lifecycle from initial ideation to operational maintenance and on-call rotations.
  • Contribute to the open-source Grafana project and collaborate across cloud teams.
  • Mentor team members and lead technical design discussions to improve system architecture.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Germany (applications from other locations will be evaluated against specific market pay ranges).
  • Solid experience with Go, or strong proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience developing software for the Cloud or systems engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects from requirements gathering to shipping.
  • Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintainable.
  • Strong communication skills and an independent attitude for a fully remote setup.
