TL;DR

Software Engineer (Embedded/Automotive): Developing and testing software for inverters and DCDC converters for automotive OEM customers with an accent on model-based development and safety-critical systems. Focus on designing application functionality using C/C++ and Simulink, ensuring functional safety (ISO26262), and validating via MIL/SIL/HIL testing.

Location: Must be based in the Gothenburg area, Sweden

What you will do

  • Collaborate with system engineers to translate requirements into software architecture using modeling and design tools.
  • Design and develop application functionality and algorithms using C/C++ or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Optimize functional models for vehicle powertrain systems and maintain them until series introduction.
  • Execute verification and validation activities, including static code analysis, unit testing, and MIL/SIL/HIL testing.
  • Manage software integration and maintain build stability using CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Docker).
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and agile practices in cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software functional development and testing for Inverters and DCDC converters within the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in Model-Based Development using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Embedded Coder.
  • Strong programming skills in C and/or C++ with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (ISO26262 and/or ASPICE) and AUTOSAR methodology.
  • Experience with automotive communication tools: CAN, CANalyzer, and CANoe.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of HiL systems (e.g., dSpace, ETAS).
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with INCA.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR Basic Software Modules (OS, MemStack, ComStack).
  • Driver’s license (B, E, or C).
