Test Engineer (QA Automation)

What you will do

• Execute functional testing of web application features and document defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Build and maintain automated regression test suites using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
• Perform digital accessibility evaluations using automated tools and manual screen reader techniques.
• Conduct load and performance testing using tools like NeoLoad or JMeter.
• Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Maintain CI-integrated test suites and resolve flaky tests to ensure reliable quality gates.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) and Java/JavaScript.
• Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508) and manual screen reader testing.
• Proficiency with API testing tools like Postman and Rest Assured.

Nice to have

• DHS Trusted Tester certification.
• Experience with federal government projects.
• ISTQB or IAAP certifications.
• Experience testing cloud-native applications on AWS.
