What you will do

• Design and operate a scalable GCP data lake covering storage, partitioning, and governance.
• Build ELT pipelines from APIs, event streams, internal systems, and scientific instruments.
• Develop lakehouse architectures using GCP services such as BigQuery, Composer/Airflow, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Co-design ingestion pipelines for quantum computing experiment data in collaboration with physicists and hardware engineers.
• Implement validation, monitoring, data contracts, and governance standards.
• Mentor engineers on orchestration, data modeling, and testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and production-scale data platforms.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and GCP data services (BigQuery, Airflow, GCS, Pub/Sub).
• Experience with distributed processing tools (Spark) and modern lakehouse technologies (Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, orchestration, CI/CD, and data governance.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with scientific, hardware, or experimental data pipelines.
• Experience working in deeptech or quantum environments.
