TL;DR
Sr. Technical Business Development Manager (Starlink): Identifying and commercializing new business models for satellite-based internet access with an accent on the intersection of commercial strategy and technical execution. Focus on developing go-to-market strategies, validating market hypotheses with partners, and building pricing models for new lines of business.
Location: Must be based onsite in Bastrop, TX or Redmond, WA; remote work is not considered.

What you will do
- Identify and prioritize new commercial opportunities and develop corresponding business cases and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with Starlink product and network engineering teams to evaluate technical feasibility and inform the product roadmap.
- Lead direct engagement with prospective customers to validate market hypotheses and structure commercial relationships.
- Build pricing models, unit economics analyses, and revenue forecasts for leadership recommendations.
- Coordinate with legal, regulatory, marketing, and finance teams to ensure operational and compliance standards.
- Develop commercial proposals, partnership frameworks, and sales enablement materials.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements).
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or business discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management in consumer tech, telecom, or subscription services.
- 3+ years of professional experience in telecommunications, networking, or connectivity industries.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to customer and company locations.
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of relevant business development or partnership experience.
- Prior experience in technical sales or sales engineering with deep product fluency.
- Experience launching new business models in emerging markets or underserved segments.
- Multilingual capabilities, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese.
- MBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, or telecommunications.
