TL;DR

Android Engineer AI-Focused Pleno (AI/IoT): Developing a mobile application interfacing with a globally distributed IoT ecosystem with an accent on concurrency, networking, and scalable software architecture. Focus on building high-performance communication layers between mobile clients, IoT devices, and AWS cloud services.

Location: Hybrid (1 day a week on-site in Campinas, SP, Brazil)

What you will do

  • Design and develop high-quality Android applications focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement multi-threading and concurrency solutions for real-time data processing and device communication.
  • Build communication layers between mobile clients, IoT devices, and AWS cloud services.
  • Collaborate with backend, product, and hardware teams to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API contracts.
  • Optimize application performance, memory usage, and network efficiency.

Requirements

  • Native Android development using Kotlin and modern architecture practices.
  • Strong experience with multi-threading and concurrency (Coroutines, Flow, RxJava).
  • Deep understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modularization.
  • Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and IoT Core.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP) and network debugging.
  • Proficiency in English for effective collaboration in a global team.

Nice to have

  • Experience or interest in leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or LLM-based workflows.
  • Experience building applications that interact with connected devices or IoT systems.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems.
