On behalf of our client, an international bank in Moscow, we are looking for a seasoned operations leader to take full ownership of the department.
We are seeking a VP, Head of Operations to lead, organise, and control all key operational functions. This is a senior role with signatory authority, reporting to the Executive Committee and managing a team of 20 professionals.

**What You Will Do:
✔️Oversee international and domestic payments, trade finance, FX control, treasury back-office, loans & deposits, correspondent banking, and day-to-day client banking operations
✔️Lead, supervise, and monitor the Operations Department’s daily activity
✔️Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure seamless workflows
✔️Control cash flows and transaction administration
✔️Communicate and negotiate with correspondent banks
✔️Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and regulatory requirements
✔️Drive process optimisation to improve business efficiency and client satisfaction
✔️Implement improvements that reduce operational costs and increase productivity
✔️Champion the adoption of new technologies and IT solutions
✔️Define job responsibilities, organise workflows, and manage staff performance
✔️Attend Executive Committee meetings and contribute to strategic decisions
✔️Advise clients and internal stakeholders on operational matters
✔️Develop and implement internal policies and procedures
✔️Lead the preparation, development, and launch of new projects and products

**What We Are Looking For:
✔️Higher education in Finance or a related field
✔️Extensive experience in an international bank, this is mandatory
✔️Fluent English (C1+) and native Russian
✔️Proven leadership experience across FX, settlements, credit, and back-office functions
✔️Strong knowledge of Russian banking operations, payments, and correspondent banking
✔️Ability to drive change, reduce costs, and implement IT solutions
✔️Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
