TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Designing and implementing an end-to-end observability strategy and managing Amazon EKS clusters with an accent on monitoring, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD optimization. Focus on reducing MTTR through actionable dashboards, evolving EKS networking and security, and improving developer experience via GitOps.
Location: Hybrid in Valencia, Spain
Salary: €30,000 - €40,000 fixed (OTE up to €46,000)

What you will do
- Design and implement a full observability strategy including logs, metrics, and distributed traces using Datadog and Grafana.
- Manage and evolve Amazon EKS clusters, focusing on networking, autoscaling, and security upgrades.
- Own AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Lambda) using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to reduce build times and implement feature flags and canary deployments.
- Enforce security best practices, manage secrets, and collaborate on ISO 27001 compliance.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of professional experience in DevOps or SRE roles in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS, AWS, and Terraform.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
- Experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions and GitOps workflows.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish (team works in Spanish).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
Nice to have
- Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, or FluxCD.
- Operational knowledge of PostgreSQL (replication, tuning).
- Kubernetes security tooling like OPA/Gatekeeper or Falco.
- AWS certifications or CKA/CKAD.
