Cloud Security Engineer

TL;DR

Cloud Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing and building internal solutions to identify and remedy compliance and security failures within a large-scale cloud environment with an accent on infrastructure as code and policy enforcement. Focus on responding to security incidents, securing Kubernetes clusters, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement robust security standards.

Location: Must be based in Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

What you will do

• Design and build internal solutions to identify and remedy compliance and security failures.
• Develop policy as code, templates, and modules to implement secure patterns.
• Respond to cloud security incidents and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational security requirements.
• Create security policies, standards, and guidelines for engineering teams.
• Analyze and understand log sources to detect and mitigate potential threats.

Requirements

• Operational experience with AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Operational experience with Terraform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused dynamic.
• Must be based in Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

• Operational experience securing Kubernetes.
• Certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP or AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
• Knowledge of GDPR security and privacy requirements.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST CSF or ISO 27001.
