TL;DR

Mobile QA Specialist (Appium): Establishing mobile quality protocols and building a scalable test automation framework for iOS and Android applications with an accent on manual exploratory testing and programmatic regression. Location: Hybrid in Bulgaria (2 days in-office, 3 days remote) or remote in locations without company offices.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of the testing lifecycle for iOS and Android applications as the first dedicated mobile QA specialist.
  • Design and execute comprehensive mobile testing strategies, test plans, and scenarios.
  • Build and configure a modular mobile test automation framework from the ground up using Appium.
  • Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing on physical devices and emulators.
  • Integrate automated mobile test suites into existing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Validate backend data, service integrations, and client-server synchronization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software QA experience.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with native iOS and Android applications.
  • Solid experience with Appium and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Proven proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or Charles Proxy.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Resume must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud-based device farms like BrowserStack or AWS Device Farm.
  • Familiarity with mobile performance monitoring using Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Interest in utilizing AI-powered tools for test acceleration.
