What you will do

• Architect and operate backend services driving complex billing logic and transaction processing.
• Develop Python-based APIs and services, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery.
• Own features end-to-end from initial design and technical scoping through implementation and production support.
• Drive AI adoption by integrating LLMs and AI-powered solutions into backend services and workflows.
• Develop and support single-page applications (SPAs) using Vue for seamless interaction with APIs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Python development.
• Experience designing and developing billing systems, including pricing logic and invoicing flows.
• Proficiency in designing and integrating APIs and working with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and a strong interest in applying AI to real-world problems.
• Must be located within the European Union.
• Strong communication skills in English for effective cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka and distributed systems patterns.
• Familiarity with Python frameworks such as Django, DRF, or FastAPI.
• Exposure to other backend languages such as Java, Go, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI services (e.g., OpenAI APIs, RAG).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, and modern DevOps (CI/CD, IaC).
