TL;DR

Researcher (Client Relationships & Service) (Fintech): Analyzing data to generate actionable insights for the Client Relationships & Service Division with an accent on causal inference, A/B testing, and performance metrics. Focus on identifying operational inefficiencies, building mathematical models, and collaborating with data engineers to optimize the data landscape.

Location: Onsite in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Full relocation support is provided for the candidate and their family.

What you will do

  • Define and improve metrics for product performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collect, clean, and transform raw data from multiple sources into usable formats.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Validate solutions using backtesting, A/B testing, and mathematical modeling.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to enhance the data landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical statistics and probability theory.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (pandas, visualization, and ML packages).
  • Expertise in machine learning and math modeling.
  • Proven experience in causal inference and A/B test design.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Spark.
  • Experience with Metabase and Grafana.
  • Experience in Agile environments or collaborating with development teams.
