What you will do

• Adapt and expand existing modelling infrastructure for the Japanese power market.
• Integrate market signals from commodities like LNG and coal to enhance forecast quality.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting tools, and dashboards.
• Ensure high performance of APIs for data distribution to end users.
• Collaborate with the product team to define and execute the roadmap.

Requirements

• Must be based in Malaysia
• 3-5 years of experience as a data-focused Software Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with PostgreSQL.
• Solid background in Machine Learning research (training, backtesting, tuning) and Data Science.
• Experience with ML engineering practices including model and feature versioning.
• Strong command of written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Experience in electricity markets or Japanese language proficiency.
• Knowledge of AWS, Terraform, Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with ML registry frameworks like MLFlow.
• Experience with hexagonal or medallion architectures.
