What you will do

• Own and deliver target architectures, strategies, and roadmaps to support the product suite.
• Partner with Technical Leads to provide guidance on feature delivery, tech debt, and architecture improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Directors to translate product vision into technical deliverables.
• Lead the transition to an AI-First way of working, architecting new SDLC foundations.
• Mentor and coach Senior Engineers and Technical Leads to raise the bar of engineering excellence.
• Head up architectural reviews to ensure quality, reliability, security, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Extensive track record of leading large, complex product suites in scaling, fast-moving environments.
• Broad expertise in software architecture, system design, and scalable integration patterns.
• Strong ability to communicate and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in an ownership culture focusing on performance, observability, and security.
• Practical knowledge of PHP, Node, React, Python, MySQL, and AWS.
• Must have existing right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship provided).

Nice to have

• Opinion and experience on how AI-first engineering changes the SDLC.
• Experience leading technical communities of practice such as guilds or architecture councils.
