What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, supporting their professional growth and performance.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems for the Wallet platform.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and DevOps to deliver business and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and the long-term technology evolution of core financial systems.
• Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Promote high engineering standards through code reviews and the adoption of modern development workflows, including AI-assisted tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams.
• Excellent knowledge of C# and .NET.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and data consistency.
• Solid experience with relational databases, transaction processing, and query performance.
• Must be based in or able to work from Malaga, Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput transactional systems.
• Background in financial, payments, or high-reliability platforms.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Interest in modern developer tooling and AI-assisted development.
