What you will do

• Lead and mentor the development team, guiding technical decisions and resolving complex issues.
• Own delivery quality and predictability, ensuring code standards and timeline adherence.
• Develop robust backend services, APIs, and microservices using the Node.js ecosystem.
• Design new features from concept to production, including deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver cohesive technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production problems and optimize performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Node.js experience in production environments.
• 2+ years of technical leadership or mentoring experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Express.js, and REST/GraphQL/WebSocket APIs.
• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and NATS.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or Azure.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Proven delivery management skills and scope management experience.
