What you will do

• Manage staffers, assign stories, and coordinate photography and digital plans.
• Collaborate with print and digital production teams on proofing and editing.
• Monitor analytics and competitor activity to optimize story choices and timing.
• Edit content for accuracy, clarity, organization, and adherence to style.
• Plan compelling daily enterprise and news content.
• Utilize SEO and headline writing skills to grow the audience.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York, NY
• 5+ years of reporting experience at a daily newspaper or similar organization.
• 5+ years of management experience in a similar environment.
• Proven newsroom leadership experience managing reporters and editors.
• Strong editing skills and knowledge of AP style.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
