What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end AI product features using LLM APIs, including chat-based UX and backend integrations.
• Build and optimize RAG systems, focusing on document parsing, semantic chunking, and retrieval pipelines.
• Develop scalable and maintainable backend systems using FastAPI and modern Python tooling.
• Design and implement agent orchestration systems for complex, multi-step legal workflows.
• Build infrastructure for evaluations and benchmarking using tools like Langfuse for continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product and Legal Engineering teams to rapidly prototype and refine new AI use cases.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Deep experience building products that integrate LLMs via APIs.
• Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, and common data science packages.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Mechelen, Belgium.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and frontend development.
• Fluency in German.
