Software Quality Analyst (Civil Engineering Tools) (QA/Civil Engineering Software): Designing and executing functional, regression, and exploratory tests for Bentley’s civil engineering and road design software with an accent on test planning, defect lifecycle management, and software reliability. Focus on validating customer-reported issues, testing 2D/3D geometry, collaborating with development and product teams, and improving product quality.
Location: Hybrid – Quebec, Canada

What you will do
- Design and execute test cases based on product specifications and design documents.
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing for civil engineering software.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test models, and test scripts.
- Log, track, and manage software defects throughout the bug lifecycle.
- Validate customer-reported issues and collaborate with development and product teams on resolution.
- Recommend improvements to product quality and user experience while supporting internal teams with product insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with 2–5 years of road design experience using Bentley or other software tools, or at least 3 years of experience testing road design software.
- Understanding of software testing and QA processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of 2D/3D geometry and mathematical concepts.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to continuously learn Bentley’s Civil product suite.
Nice to have
- Experience with Bentley tools such as MicroStation, ProjectWise, OpenRail, OpenBridge, or OpenTunnel.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience or knowledge of test automation tools.
