Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Building and improving acquisition and procurement web applications for the Department of War with an accent on fullstack development using TypeScript, Node, and Angular. Focus on designing scalable user-facing applications, integrating RESTful APIs, and serving as the project's Technical Anchor.

Location: Remote within the continental United States (East Coast working hours). U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoW Secret clearance required.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deliver scalable user-facing applications in a modern cloud environment to support mission-critical workflows.
• Own features end-to-end, from requirements and design through development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and data-driven services across distributed systems.
• Lead front-end development with Angular while supporting backend services in Node.js and NestJS.
• Serve as the Technical Anchor, establishing technical standards and providing guidance and coaching to the team.
• Debug and resolve complex issues across the stack to ensure performance and maintainability.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory to obtain a DoW Secret clearance.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Node.js/NestJS and modern Angular (2+).
• Experience working with relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Experience developing in Java with the Spring framework.
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker and AWS cloud services.
• Experience writing unit tests with Jest or Jasmine.
• Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
