Senior Cloud Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

Senior Cloud Engineer (GCP): Designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platform services for a global data processing platform with an accent on scalability, security, and near real-time data processing. Focus on implementing containerized workloads, Infrastructure as Code, and secure system designs within highly regulated environments.

Location: Primarily onsite at Patrick Space Force Base, FL (up to 5 days/week)

What you will do

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services across multiple Google Cloud environments.
• Implement containerized workloads and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with architects to implement scalable and resilient system designs for high-volume time-series data.
• Implement cloud networking, security controls, and access management (IAM).
• Troubleshoot production systems, optimize reliability, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship with an active DoW clearance and TS/SCI eligibility.
• 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments.
• Proficiency with containerized environments and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience operating high-security or highly regulated cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field (preferred).

Nice to have

• Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.).
• Experience with Internet-of-Things (IoT) or high-throughput time-series data processing.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security compliance frameworks.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
