TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Building and maintaining frontend and backend features for a digital classroom platform with an accent on user experience, scalability, reliability, and product collaboration. Focus on designing APIs and scalable systems, debugging complex applications, improving engineering workflows, and mentoring fellow engineers.

Location: Hybrid work from the Auckland office is required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; Tuesdays and Thursdays are work from home.

What you will do

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain product features across frontend and backend codebases.
Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and users to turn feedback into technical solutions.
Investigate complex bugs and implement reliable, maintainable fixes.
Improve engineering processes, tooling, workflows, and prioritization.
Mentor engineers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and technical guidance.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in software engineering.
Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go.
Experience with web technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with scalable backend systems and API development.
Comfort with agile workflows and collaborative development.
Experience debugging complex systems and writing clean, maintainable code.
