What you will do

• Build multiplayer features and core backend systems for large-scale distributed services.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate in design discussions and perform root cause analysis to improve performance and reliability.
• Evolve operational architecture for SRE roles to ensure global scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across global offices throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate program with expected graduation between January 2027 and May 2028.
• Available for an 8-month, in-person co-op starting September 2026.
• Strong knowledge of Python, C++, and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and networking fundamentals (TCP, UDP, HTTP).
• Familiarity with Linux and source control (Git preferred).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL-based databases, preferably MySQL.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD concepts for automating build and deployment.
• Exposure to security and scalability concepts or experience building RESTful services.
• Passion for computer science demonstrated through personal projects or open-source contributions.
