Country Team Lead (Digital Transformation)

What you will do

• Manage and oversee all in-country project activities, supervising technical and operational staff.
• Act as the primary liaison for government agencies, including customs, port authorities, and municipalities.
• Coordinate technical workstreams such as system integration, data analytics, and platform deployment to ensure alignment with institutional needs.
• Develop governance frameworks and data-sharing agreements to support cross-institutional coordination.
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of technical outputs, reports, and deliverables in line with donor requirements.
• Strengthen local capacity to integrate digital systems into government workflows for long-term sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in information systems, public administration, economics, urban planning, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in project management and staff oversight.
• Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder initiatives involving government institutions.
• Fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English required.
• Must be located in Honduras and willing to travel within the country.
• Experience with donor-funded programs, such as the U.S. Department of State, is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital transformation or technology-enabled public sector initiatives specifically in Honduras.
• Background in logistics, trade facilitation, infrastructure, or urban systems.
• Familiarity with GIS-enabled tools, dashboards, or in-country data systems.
