TL;DR

Game Design Team Lead (Gamedev): Managing priorities, project milestones, and performance for a team of design experts with an accent on process improvement and professional growth. Location: Must be a current Ontario resident or willing to relocate to Ontario. Work format: Remote, Hybrid, or On-site.

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 CAD per year

What you will do

  • Lead design experts through performance management, career development, weekly check-ins, and goal setting.
  • Define and manage team milestones while balancing employee well-being and business needs.
  • Identify and improve workflows and task-related processes to increase efficiency and team performance.
  • Communicate across departments to resolve conflicts and promote studio-wide collaboration.
  • Mentor team members and champion professional growth opportunities.
  • Potentially act as the design owner for PvE Encounter Design, Bot AI, and Bot Combat Rules.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing design teams or a related creative discipline.
  • Background in design, production, or a related creative field.
  • Proven experience managing schedules, milestones, shifting priorities, and team workloads.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Must be a current Ontario resident or willing to relocate to Ontario.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PVE Combat and Bots AI Design.
  • Previous experience as a Producer.
  • Experience in both a design role and a production role.
