Senior Software Engineer (Control Plane/Distributed Systems)

Senior Software Engineer (Distributed Systems): Architecting and developing the AHV control plane for software-defined data centers with an accent on VM orchestration, lifecycle management, and resource allocation. Focus on improving the performance and resiliency of large-scale management planes.

Location: Hybrid: Belgrade, Serbia (minimum 3 days onsite per week)

What you will do

• Architect, design, and develop software for the AHV control plane for software-defined data centers.
• Optimize the performance and resiliency of the large-scale management plane.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver complex projects.
• Mentor other software engineers within the team.
• Analyze customer requirements to resolve production issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of distributed system concepts.
• Familiarity with resource virtualization and large-scale VM lifecycle management.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Go programming languages.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• Must be based in Belgrade, Serbia to comply with the hybrid work policy.
