TL;DR

Realisation Designer (Gamedev): Bridging the gap between raw ideation and playable reality by creating visual assets for new project proposals and internal prototypes with an accent on gameplay clarity, player readability, and visual communication. Focus on rapid iteration, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and defining mechanics through 2D art, 3D mockups, and motion graphics.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Liverpool, UK (Hybrid)

What you will do

  • Create visual assets for project proposals, including 2D art, 3D block-outs, and UI/UX designs.
  • Develop graphic design elements, logos, and unique project identities.
  • Produce motion graphic concepts and video edits to dynamically communicate gameplay intent.
  • Collaborate with creative leadership to interpret and define the vision for new projects.
  • Work alongside Game Designers to visually define mechanics, player actions, and progression.
  • Partner with Art Directors to ensure prototype visuals align with the overall game style.

Requirements

  • Experience in gameplay-focused design or visual development within the games industry.
  • Proven track record of having shipped console or PC titles.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across 2D painting, 3D layouts, graphic design, and motion.
  • Deep understanding of game design fundamentals, including player feedback, readability, and affordance.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams with a focus on rapid turnaround.

  • Experience in brand development.
