TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (z/OS/C++): Designing and developing Enterprise Program Products for monitoring IBM z/OS Storage environments with an accent on hardware compatibility and system optimization. Focus on implementing high-performance software features, resolving complex defects, and setting the technical direction for core components.

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania (Hybrid or remote options available, but must be based in Lithuania)

Salary: €49,000 - €83,300 / year

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software features for monitoring IBM z/OS Storage environments.
  • Take ownership of the design and development of features within assigned components.
  • Optimize software design to leverage specific platform capabilities and solve anti-patterns.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for a product domain and defend design decisions.
  • Collaborate with Support and SEs to resolve customer issues and address larger technical concerns.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in IBM z/OS Assembler (HLASM) development and debugging.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ development and debugging.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • Must be based in Lithuania for salary eligibility.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with IBM z/OS operating systems environments and facilities (JES, ISPF).
  • Knowledge of IBM z/OS Storage Management.
